Healthy Pantry Makeover

Need help making your kitchen healthier? Your Health Coach will go to your home and survey you kitchen setup. She will look for the presence of high quality and low quality foods to establish a healthy diet, and help clear out your pantry and fridge of the unhealthy foods. Together you will make a list of healthy foods that will fit your family's tastes and needs. You will learn how to avoid unhealthy ingredients in processed foods by deciphering those confusing nutrition labels. She will teach you staple items to always keep in stock to use as the foundation for quick meals and snacks. She will also make sure that you have a good set of pots and pans and food storage containers, and make sure that you are cleaning your kitchen with non-toxic cleaners.

Your program includes...

• 45-90 Minutes Session.
• Identify items that sabotage your health.
• Recommend “must have” items to keep stocked at all times.
• Do’s and don’ts of processed foods.
• Beneficial spices and herbs.
• How to arrange your pantry.
• Inventory of small appliances and what the healthiest choices are.

Grocery Store Tour

Still not sure how to shop healthy? The most advertised foods are usually the most processed and unhealthy. The grocery store can be intimidating if you are unsure of what to look for. Your health coach will spend about 90 minutes touring a Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe’s, or health food store of your choice to learn how to shop for nutritious and tasty foods without burning a hole in your budget. You will learn how to read labels, know which foods to buy organic, find local produce, as well as how to navigate your way around the store. Join a small group or sign up for a one on one excursion.

As a result of this session - YOU WILL...

• learn how to confidently navigate the grocery store .
• understand food labels and health claims.
• be able to identify the food additives, chemicals and other toxins in your food.
• discover the truth about what you have been eating and how to make healthier choices.
• learn how to shop effectively while saving time and money.
